The newly elected general secretary of the National Democratic Congress has reminded Ghanaians that it was during the tenure of the NDC that the menace of dumsor in Ghana was fixed.
Fifi Kwetey, in an interview on Point of View, Citi TV said that the party fixed the power outage challenge of the country in 2016 before the current government assumed power.
He confirmed that claims by the New Patriotic Party that they fixed the ‘dumsor’ challenge are all stories fabricated by the governing party to win favor from the Ghanaian citizenry.
“We actually solved dumsor, there is no debate about that. It is not even about Dr Donkor, NDC actually solved it. When I hear things about a debate on dumsor, that tells me that you the journalists are doing a lousy job; because you should be able to set the records straight….” He stated.
He also added, “You should do the fact-check for the NPP to run away from even daring to actually claim that dumsor was not solved in 2016.”
This was in response to several members of the NPP trying to take credit for fixing thee issue of power fluctuations that plagued Ghanaians.
